We had something like this before with Cudicini but it never happened, and not too long ago a 'gentlemen's agreement' was reached between the four home nations saying that none of them would field a 'foreign' player after it was discussed about Nacho Novo possibly playing for Scotland, so on that basis I'd be very surprised if Capello went against his word and selected Almunia.
